Who is the head coach?
Greenwood Park recently named Jen Carullo as our new head coach. A resident of Washington Township since 2014, she is excited to get involved in her community and share her love of swimming. Coach Jen began her coaching career as Head Coach of Williamstown High School’s Swimming and Diving Team from 2011-2014. In that time, she more than tripled team membership and brought the team to a winning record while coaching two athletes to the NJSIAA Diving Championships in 2012 and 2013. Coach Jen is more formally known as Mrs. Carullo at WHS where she is a social studies teacher and the Class of 2018 co-advisor.
Who do the kids compete against?
Greenwood Park is part of the Tri-County Swimming Pool Association, a competitive swim league based in Gloucester, Camden and Burlington Counties. Boys and girls compete separately against kids in their own age group: 8 and under, 9-10, 11-12, 1314, and 15-18.
When are the meets?
Meets are Saturdays at 9:00 AM (A Meets) and Wednesdays at 6:00 PM (B Meets). Beginner swimmers usually only swim the Wednesday meets, but with more experience they may be called upon to swim on Saturdays. The goal is to have every team member be an "A" meet swimmer. Coaches determine meet entries.
